You guys really must have seen this coming.

Anyways, did this with ref material using F, 6H, 2B and 4B pencils on an A3-sized block. Took me about a week to finish since I'd never drawn something so big before.

It was also partly because the reference piccie [link] was kinda narrow and I had to look up other piccies to get a rough idea of what wasn't visible (her armband, for example).

This actually wasn't as easy as it sounds because I drew this waaaaay before the movie came out and good reference piccies were hard to come by.

And her hair... I had to draw each individual braid before shading them all in. Let's not go into the glowing spots.

I have to say I'm rather proud of this one. It's my first A3-sized drawing and my first with a background (though the blurriness did pose a problem too).

I'd wanted to put this up as soon as I got home but I realised I only had an A4 scanner. So, I went to a print shop and got them to scan it for me. So, voilà! Here she is on DA (at long last)!

(Though for some reason, the scanner made the lower part of the piccie look brighter than it actually is... DX)

I really enjoyed the movie (though I didn't watch it in 3D ) and if I got the chance, I'd like to see it again... in 3D this time.

I'd recommend you go see the movie. I thought it was very, very good.

Saw it in 3D at last. I have to say I enjoyed it more than 2D, but 2D's good too
